Seton Catholic Central High School is a co-educational institution located in Binghamton New York (map). Staffed by laity, religious sisters, and diocesan priests, Seton serves the youth of Broome County as well as students from the Syracuse, Rochester and Scranton Dioceses.

Senior Parents’ Class Trip Update

Headlines of Another Great Winter Sports Season
4/22/2008 -
The Saints girls basketball team completed a "triple crown" of STAC, Section IV and NYSPHSAA Regional championships during the 2007-08 season. The Lady Saints finished just two wins shy of capturing a state title, losing to eventual state champion Briarcliff in the state semifinals at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y. Katherine Torto was named to the All-State Tournament team and teammate Ellie Garbade was the recipient of the Sportsmanship award. Torto was also selected as the NYSPHSAA Class "B" Player of the Year. KC Hawkes and Kelsey Myette joined Torto and Garbade as All-Conference and All-Division selections and Hawkes and Torto were selected to the Press and Sun Bulletin All-Metro team.
The Saints boys basketball team claimed their fourth straight divisional title and fifth in six years, defeating Windsor to force a divisional tie on the last day of the regular season and then again defeated the Black Knights just 48 hours later to win the tie-breaker game. Chris Furner was selected to the All-Conference and All-Metro teams and Matt Meier was a All-Division selection.

Congratulations to Senior class members Christopher Madl and Paulina Maida, who have been named National Merit Scholarship winners! Christopher, the son of George and Patricia Madl, plans to attend Harvard to major in Bio-Medical Engineering. Paulina, the daughter of Ronald and Dorota Maida, hopes to attend the University of Scranton to double-major in Biology and Spanish. Go SAINTS!

Variety Show & Art Exhibit will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at SCCHS. The Art Exhibit and reception will open at 7:00 pm and the Alumni Variety Show will follow at 8:00, with a closing dessert reception. 11/05/2007 - Guitarist Tony Melendez gave an inspirational performance for SCC and Catholic middle-school students today. Mr. Melendez, who was born without arms and plays with his feet, talked about faith, expectations, and achievement and spoke about the importance of not limiting one's dreams.
Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical
10/30/2007 - Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical was presented at SCCHS the weekend of October 25th-27th. This show follows the strange case of Dr. Henry Jekyll and his maniacial serial killer alter-ego, Mr. Edward Hyde. Congratulations to the cast and crew for a great performance!
SAINTS Tennis Team Completes Outstanding Season
10/19/2007 - The 2007 Saints girls tennis team completed the STAC schedule unbeaten yet again, capturing their sixth straight Eastern Division title. #1 singles Leigh Oczkowski and #2 singles Ellie Garbade both finished the STAC season undefeated, thus extending their individual match unbeaten streak, and finishing their high school careers without ever losing a STAC match at SCC.
