Homeroom Teachers

Homeroom teachers have important responsibilities; they try to ensure that every student's day begins as peacefully and as predictably as possible. Homeroom is a time for students to organize and prepare themselves for the rigors of the school day. Students may finish homework, review for tests, and prepare for class. The time from 8:15 a.m. to 8:33 a.m. is structured around Channel One viewing, prayers, pledge, Words of Wisdom, and announcements.

Club/Organization Moderators

Club moderators are the faculty members in charge of the many clubs that a student may join and participate in during Activity periods and/or after school. The list of clubs is long and varied, and truthfully, there should be at least one club that peaks each student's interest. Please feel free to contact the moderator for more information. A list of the clubs and moderators may be found on our separate Clubs page.

Class Deans

Class Deans are advisors to students and teachers regarding the SCCHS Code of Conduct and the discipline system. They meet frequently with the Assistant Principal and together with the Athletic Director, the Attendance Officer and the Assistant Principal, they comprise the Discipline Review Board. The four class deans are:
Freshman : Mr. Phillips   |   Sophomores : Mr. Phillips     |   Juniors : Mr. Noyes   |   Seniors : Dr. DeAngelo

Class Moderators

Class Moderators are responsible for all class activities. Class Moderators work closely with the homeroom teachers to help the students bond as a class. In addition to organizing the class officer elections, the moderators also guide the class officers through decision-making processes for various events and activities, such as dances and fundraising activities. This year's moderators are:
Freshman : Mrs. Simpson   |   Sophomores : Mr. Noyes   |   Juniors : Ms. Fox   |   Seniors : Mrs. Frontera

Guidance Department

The SCCHS Guidance Department is served by two counselors: Head of Guidance Mr. John Colonna (11th and 12 grade) and Guidance Counselor Ms. Kristen Coppola (9th and 10th grade). Mrs. Jackie Steckler also works with Guidance as an aide.
